WAKE UP....

My eyes ache
Struck by cancerous animosities

Look into my eyes,
You will see my bleeding soul
My dwindling vision
Leaves no hope

O’ Almighty
Bless my eyes
They can’t see the world burning

A world…….
Where
Women die as a remorseful sigh
Without even a Why.

Where,
Where paternal might
Shrouds the maternal light

Where,
The sight of plight
Is as unseen as a dark night.

Where,
The seeds of malevolent avarice
Feeds as good as rice

Where,
When it comes to self
Everything else becomes an elf.

Said the Almighty
“When the devil is in you
Why change the world?

Change thyself
And the world will change

Shouting in the dark
Doesn’t lit up the darkness

Craving for glory
Aint make up the story

Be the trigger
Wage your battle
Show your mettle

Take me not to the gallows

It takes a man to wrong
Takes another to right it

So wake up……
From the deep slumber of righteous inaction
Unto the unsheltered, untreaded domain of perilous morality

From the darkness of blissful ignorance
Unto the dreaded, deserted realm of infinite possibility.

From the dead-end of doomsday
Unto the genesis of life.”

A PROMISE TO DREAM

There came an angel
Out of the blue,
Bringing with her all lively hue.

She stood there
In the melting silhouette
Of a freezing vignette.

To change my story.
From a falling star to a rising horizon.
From a sinking ship to a glorified torch-bearer.
From a dying breeze to a forceful wind.

I shouted,
“Don’t come near my mocking-bird
My life’s always been a surd.”

The angel smiled and said.
“Your tears
Are not the rains
That bring a smile to the grieving heart.

They are the waves
That threaten to drown you.

Life is not about the road forsaken,
It is all about the one taken.

When there’s a world to conquer,
Why a diffident swagger?
Better a peak-ranger than a hapless stranger.

So, dream….
For a moment of golden cherish
Rather than a lament of sad perish.
For a spell of virgin incline
Rather than a fall of steep decline.”

My tears stopped.
My life changed.
I promised to dream.

Where there is a will, there is a way

You are possessed.
With,
A hint of frivolity.
An attempt at frugality.

You choose to be the raccoon,
Trapped in your surreal cocoon.
Where never, never exists.
But that saying persists,
Only if fate resists.

Tethered limbs break your march,
Shattered dreams bend like an arch.

So lost,
You are in the endless travails
Of conceit and envy
That you miss the magic
Of the power of will.

A will so potent,
Swelling with triumphant intent.

A will that,
Wings the stunted dreams
And caresses the morose scenes.

Such a will to unearth,
Takes a life's worth.

But if it’s yours
The world will be yours.

The world waits for u
O’ victor
Grasp the will
And be the vector.

Chak De

Chak De,India. What a movie!!!Satisfied all the senses of a cine-lover.Interesting Script, inspired, perfect acting from otherwise unknown actors,no overdoses of drama,SRK and finally a movie in which a sport is actually played with the right technique, not made to look like simply carrying out the motions. The movie really touches a chord, but did it succeed in actually making people realise not to judge sportsmen by their off-days or on-days and in more importantly giving the much required fillip to the much-undermined,but so-called national game of India, hockey(especially women's).
Now there's a lot of talk going on abt Chak-De as in the title-track of Chak De,"reeton ke daane main, filmon ke gaane main, sadkon ke gaddhe main, baaton ke adde main.....".But lets see how far the momentum actually gets carried.Media and press are the eyes and ears of general public. The media, instead of raising brouhaha over the actors of the movie and SRK,could do well by actually
raising the topic of upliftment of hockey. The IHF could do well to actually make some hay while the sun is shining. For starters if India actually wins the ongoing Asia Cup,it might work wonders for the game.India has made the right start by winning the opener against China,a usual nemesis.
Indian hockey can take some inspiration from football.Football
history was recently created in the Nehru Cup,in which out of the 5 teams, two were higher ranked than in-the-end victorious India, creating some interest in football.
There really needs to be atleast some game India can revel in.Its so disappointing that inspite of the fact that India doesnt do so well in cricket, still its given da numero uno status. And what more the coffers of BCCI is ever swelling.Time for cricket to move over........

THE SATANIC CULTURE

I am of the culture.

A culture so ethically disparate,
Yet so radically desperate.

Where,
The aversion to rational temper,
Is a pretext of the primal temper.
No better than the loyalties of a social climber.

Where,
The resort to perfidy
At the hours of adversity,
Is a victory of the human vision.
But it is not a treason,
The cold death of reason.

Where,
The wails of the suffering humanity.
Is fodder for the rich's vanity.
But is it worth for the profanity,
At the sake of human sanity.

Is there any room for such blind doom?
A doom,
Where envy is second nature,
And fellow ruin is human pasture.

But now,
I need a flight.
A flight of pristine delight.
From the clutches of this self-despise,
This rapid demise.

I need,
A slice of a humble pie,
Not the vice of a gross lie.

The face of utopian fancy,
Not the menace of vile fallacy.

A boon of moral serfdom,
Not the bane of immoral freedom.

MY SOJOURN

I conquered what I saw.
I was the lone soul
of my victorious sojourn.

I was on a never-never land.
A land
As unseen as a midnight sun,
As blissful as a first kiss.

The world was under my feet.
And as mind lagged behind ego,
I deemed fate was defeated.

But it all changed as did fate,
I went from
Sheer delirium to abject misery.
And then from
Abject misery to nightmarish doom

The very traces left behind
Had been rubbed off by the
Ever-deceitful fate.
I had no path to escape or return

I was forever lost in the
Wilderness of blind,dark alleys.
I cried for His mercy.

" If life was only a tale of
the hanker to conquer.
I prefer a thousand deaths.
Better a
cadaver of holy silence,
Than a
spirit of derisive dereliction.
Then why run after a mere mirage.

Success is like sand in hand.
The more is dear,
The more it's end comes near.

Whatever you want comes at a price,
And that you have to pay.
But fortunes do change as do human. "

Said God with mighty alacrity
and sublime dignity.

Baneful Overtures

The ups and downs,
The heroes and the clowns.
The whispers of soothsayers,
The moans of prayers.

All come and go.
Without a trace,
Without any grace.
I search my reason,
My fancy season.

I bait for goodwill
But turn into a sacrosanct devil.

I choke my conscience,
I strike with vengeance.
On all good and true
Of all the myriad hue,

I smell the virginity of homicide,
Lying beneath the cloak of suicide.

I tread on a foreign land,
On a never-never-land.
A land of wreckage,
That can choke a sage.

But then,
My myopic eyes open to see the new day.
As if it was just a step away.

As I stand amidst the ruins,
The sign of my sins.
I resign myself to my fate
And as my malices eclipse,
My life comes a full ellipse.
